CED 50TH ANNIVERSARY LOGO CONTEST

In the year ahead, we will be marking 50 years since the founding of the School of Environmental Design in 1969. Our college stands poised to capitalize on the strength of this legacy and expand our vision for the future. We are vibrant and strong as ever and our alumni are changing the world for the better in multiple and diverse ways. We continue to be ranked near the top at the national level and win important design awards. The latest proof of our excellence comes from Design Intelligence, which ranked our landscape architecture program—first established in 1929—as #4 in the nation (BLA) and #8 in the nation (MLA).

In the fall of 2019, the college will kick off a year-long celebration of our 50 years of excellence. We plan to highlight our work in all three of our disciplines: historic preservation, environmental planning and design, and landscape architecture. A committee comprised of students, faculty, staff, and alumni is currently meeting to discuss special events including symposia, exhibitions, lectures, publications and other opportunities to recognize our exceptional history. This celebration will also inspire our current CED community and affirm our role as UGA’s design school.

Logomark workshop #3: March 6, 2019 - 10:00 a.m. - Jackson Street Building

These workshops are open to all UGA students. Attendance is not mandatory, and will not be considered in competition judging. Students may attend more than one workshop.
