Ken Bullock artwork on display

Kenn Bullock practiced landscape architecture for 44 years and in his retirement has taken up watercolors. As an old friend of professor emeritus Scott Weinberg, Kenn has ties to the CED, where many of his staff were trained in AutoCAD.

Kenn worked for himself for over thirteen years before moving to Charlotte, N.C. where he joined the Woolpert architectural and engineering firm, focusing on campus design. He worked his way up the ranks at Woolpert to become a Partner in this Fortune 500 Design Firm of over 750 people.

Please stop by the display case at Owens Library to view samples of Kenn’s work.

“I feel strongly that hand graphics are essential to landscape architecture practice and we used that skill as a determining factor when I hired young people. It is essential to be able to quickly sketch an idea for a client; that’s where they begin to see the idea take shape,” he explains.

In addition to drawing and painting, Ken has taken up theater and playwriting. “Never let your creativity stop,” says Kenn.
