Call for Honorees

nomination promotional image

In July 1969, the School of Environmental Design, later called the College of Environment and Design, was established as part of the University of Georgia. From the beginning, we were shaped by trailblazers and visionaries; folks who through their scholarship, teaching and research displayed an unbending commitment to advancing the principles of design, planning, and preservation.

As we celebrate our 50th anniversary in 2019, we are looking to HONOR 50 INDIVIDUALS who brought strength, conviction, and commitment to the ideals of the profession, or through vision and hard work shaped our programs, advancing our ability to serve students and enrich lives. This is where we need your help!

Who are some of the most influential people who helped shape the College of Environment and Design? Was there a faculty member who motivated you to pursue your dreams? A staff member who always believed in you and pushed you to excel? Are there alums whose work brings special honor to their alma mater? Nominate them to be a CED 50th Anniversary Honoree!

These individuals can be alumni, staff members, or past faculty, or they can be friends, donors, or anyone else you think is worthy of this honor (including those who would be posthumously honored).

Multiple nominations may be submitted.  Nomination period closes April 30, 2019.

Selections will be made by a committee that includes CED faculty, college leadership, staff and alumni.
