CED hosts candidates for new Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development
The College of Environment and Design is pleased to host four candidates in a search for a new Associate Dean for Research and Faculty Development. The remote interviews will be held Sept 14-24, 2020, with each candidate giving a virtual presentation on their vision of the role.
This position aims to guide faculty development and affairs as well as mentor faculty and graduate students towards bigger and better opportunities for research and creative work. The initial pool included about two dozen candidates, from which eight semi-finalists were interviewed virtually by the search committee in March/April. The search process was to conclude with on-campus visits in April/May, but was postponed due to COVID-19.
The four finalists have a range of expertise and experience, from the humanities to
STEM, all with strong links to the design professions.
