MUPD student to participate in the Graduate School Emerging Leaders Program

Phillip Jones, a current 2nd-year MUPD student, was selected to participate in the UGA Graduate School Emerging Leaders Program for the Spring of 2022. This program is designed to help participants gain insight into their personal leadership styles, develop skills necessary for entering a workplace characterized by the diversity of people, and plan for future career opportunities.

Phillip plans on working in local or regional government after graduating and using what he has learned about urban design, GIS, and the planning process to help make cities more sustainable, equitable, and wonderful. He hopes to use what he learns in the Emerging Leaders program in his career as a planner to become a leader who supports others.
