Biographical Information
I was born in Corning, New York in 1951, Upstate. From Athens go straight up the ridge of the Appalachian Mountains and bear left.
In the fourth grade I knew I wanted to teach.
Moved to Boulder, Colorado 1961. Graduated Boulder High School 1969. Attended Oregon State University 1969 – 1971. Graduated from Florida State University 1974, BS: Biology. Entered MLA program School of Environmental Design, fall 1975. Married fellow SED student, Dale (DG) Jaeger, fall 1976. Graduated MLA 1979. Real Estate electives Terry School of Business. Moved to Lake Lanier in Gainesville, Georgia, 1980.
Entered real estate appraisal business with Land Development Analysts, Atlanta 1980. Received Member Appraisal Institute (MAI) designation 1988. Opened Metro Appraisals, Inc. 1988. Only MAI appraiser in northeast Georgia for 14 years. Metro Appraisals grew to 30 people with offices in Gainesville and Cumming, Georgia. Regional commercial and residential properties. Certified General Appraiser in Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, and Florida. Sold Metro 2013.
Started substitute teaching Hall County/City of Gainesville schools 1990s. With Dean
Dan Nadenicek developed the Principles of Real Estate course for the College of Environment
and Design (CED). Taught the class in 2010, 2011 and 2020.
