MHP Graduate Coordinator James Reap Participates in International Conference in China

MHP Professor and Graduate Coordinator James Reap recently participated in and spoke at the 5th International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS) – Wuhan Crossover Forum in Wuhan, China. The forum, whose theme was Time & Space: Cultural Heritage in Urban Renewal, was organized by the Huazhong University of Science & Technology and the Wuhan Research Society on Shared Built Heritage and hosted by the Wuhan Municipal Government. Professor Reap presented his paper titled “The Role of Cultural Heritage in Urban Regeneration: Finding Our Way Forward”. While in Wuhan, he also participated in the “City of Design Wuhan Round table” to assist the Wuhan Municipal Government conceptualize their proposal to include Wuhan as a City of Design in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network.
