Jennifer Martin Lewis has been named interim director of the Center for Community Design and Preservation (CCDP) at the College of Environment and Design (CED). Jennifer holds a master’s degree in Historic Preservation (’02) from our college and has served as outreach coordinator for CCDP for ten years. Jennifer has extensive experience in charrette work, historic preservation commission activities, and downtown revitalization programs throughout Georgia. She has been active in numerous initiatives in Athens, including serving as president of the Board of Trustees of the Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation. In 2011 Jennifer was a UGA Service Learning Fellow.
Jennifer’s responsibilities also include tracking and evaluating CED’s service and outreach activities and collaboration between the college and UGA’s Public Service Outreach units. Most recently, Jennifer coordinated a visit to the college of 100 Cedar Shoals High School students to introduce them to university life and the degrees we offer.
