Historically, women researchers have contributed greatly to the development of different fields of science.  Women researchers from the University of Georgia will share their experience and contributions in the field of GIS, from different approaches.

This is a great opportunity to meet the community of women researchers working in GIS at UGA and be inspired by the great work they are doing.

Dr. Rosanna Rivero is the Rado Family Foundation Professor of GeoDesign, Ph.D. Program Coordinator, and Associate Professor in the College of Environment and Design at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Marguerite Maddenis a Professor/Director of the Center for Geospatial Research in the Geography Department at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Angela Yao is a professor in the Geography Department at the University of Georgia.

Dr. Meagan Deuver is the GIS Librarian in the Map and Government Information Library Department at the University of Georgia.

Caroline Narron is a Ph.D. Candidate, Doctoral Teaching & Research Assistant in the Geography Department at the University of Georgia.
