academic and professional foci
A main pursuit of Cameron Berglund is the employment of landscape architecture as a service, both through education and design. The main areas Berglund works to expand academically and professionally enhance access to design and design thinking. His professional experience has enabled him to focus on the refinement and innovation of landscape architecture while his academic career seeks to help disseminate this knowledge and further collaborate through research and exploration.
An area Berglund hopes to strengthen in his new role at CED is the expansion and revitalization of the design-build curriculum. He brings his passion and energy in collaboration with current professors to expand this pedagogy as a vector for both domestic and international service projects. In addition to service and innovation, Berglund brings a unique skill set as an artist and architectural illustrator. As an active member of the American Society of Architectural Illustration, he regularly works with domestic and international design firms to help visualize both their architecture and landscape architecture projects. Adept in digital and traditional watercolor abilities, he shares this skill set with his students and colleagues.
