Dean Sonia Hirt to give lecture at Drexel University in Philadelphia on single family housing in America

Dean Sonia Hirt will give the keynote lecture at the culminating event of Drexel University’s “Power, Pleasure, and Space: Planning the 21st Century” lecture series. The series is sponsored by the Urban Sociologists of the Department of Sociology at the Philadelphia university.

Hirt, who is the Hughes Professor in Landscape Architecture and Planning at CED, will present a lecture entitled: “Home Sweet Home: How the Single Family House became America’s Favorite” on March 4, 2019.

Drexel, founded in 1891, is a private urban university with over 24,000 students and serves as a significant economic driver for the city of Philadelphia.
