ASLA Student Competition awards 2018

Seven CED students were chosen for this year’s ASLA Student Competition Honor and Merit awards for the body of their work produced throughout their college career. The winners are:

Each year, nominated students present their work to a panel of professional landscape architects, all of whom are members of the American Society of Landscape Architects. Judges for the 2018 BLA awards were Scott Haines (BLA 2004) of W+A Engineering and Bob Smith (BLA 1987) of Smith Planning Group; judges for the 2018 MLA awards were Samantha Spitale (BLA 2010) of THW Design, Wes Ryals (BLA 2010) of Environs Design Studio, and Jon M. Davis (MLA 1974), former Planning Director for the City of Norcross.
