“Landscape architecture changed my life. As a young creative looking into schools for design, I had four to five options to explore that could satisfy my passions. My design journey began with fine art, then architecture and finally landscape architecture. The discipline combined my interests in the environment, culture, natural sciences, and creativity. The University of Georgia, College of Environment + Design provided the most well rounded and robust education for my career. The knowledge gained from real world experiences in curriculum, faculty dedicated to training through problem solving and CED leaders focused on promoting everyone’s individual talents provided me with the skills and confidence to take on any opportunity. Currently, as a registered professional Landscape Architect, firm principal, and shareholder at EDSA, I can look back and tangibly see the how the UGA-CED experience prepared me to succeed in life.”

“CED’s faculty, staff and curriculum gave me the tools to lead a company that has a mission to “build better communities”. By embracing that mission, I can positively impact our employees, their families, and the lives of our neighbors every day. I can’t think of a better way to build a better tomorrow than to give to a college whose graduates will walk away with the skills that are needed to perpetuate this mission.”
