Professor Brian Orland was recently in Brazil as a keynote speaker at Geodesign South America at the Centro de Ciências Humanas e da Educação, GeoLab – Laboratório de Geoprocessamento, Universidade do Estado de Santa Catarina, Florianópolis, Brazil, with a talk titled “Lessons and Questions for Geodesign Arising from the International Geodesign Collaboration.” He was also at the Departmento Urbanismo – Escola de Arquitetura of the Federal University of Minas Gerais in Belo Horizonte for a PhD qualifying exam and to participate in a geodesign workshop focusing on the Quadrilátero Ferrífero, an important mining area in the State of Minas Gerais.
