What if I really want a Mac computer?

Minimal support and network resource connectivity are available for the Mac OS.

      • Windows Operating System installed via Bootcamp (follow this link for instructions) The minimum harddrive space required for bootcamp is 40gb. Windows 10 requires ~32gb. Be sure to size your bootcamp partition to accomodate the programs you want to install. For example, AutoCAD will require ~6gb.

Some AutoCAD and GIS projects require rendering or processing methods that will not work in desktop virtuliztation and will require working in a Boot Camp version of Windows.

Installing Bootcamp on your Mac

Macs come with Bootcamp preinstalled. Bootcamp allows users to install the Windows OS on a Mac, and at bootup choose to launch either the Mac or Windows OS. To setup Bootcampfollow this link for step-by-step instructions.

The minimum harddrive space required for bootcamp is 40gb. Windows 10 requires ~32gb. Be sure to size your bootcamp partition to accomodate the programs you want to install. For example, AutoCAD will require ~6gb.
