Kevin Burke to Speak at CED 2018 Graduation

Kevin Burke, ASLA, will deliver the 2018 convocation at this year’s CED graduation ceremonies on Friday, May 4th at 1:30 p.m. in the Fine Arts Theater at 255 Baldwin St. Light refreshments and the CED student exit show in the Jackson Street Building will follow the ceremonies.

Mr. Burke is the principal landscape architect for Atlanta BeltLine Inc. and has thirty-six years of experience designing institutional landscapes, roadways, college and university campuses, residences, and park projects. He spent fourteen years working on the Central Artery Tunnel (the Big Dig) in Boston. Currently, he oversees day-to-day design and construction efforts for all public open spaces for Beltline, Inc.

Most recently, Kevin Burke was the construction manager for the thirty-three-million dollar Westside Trail in Atlanta and he is assisting with the 1.5-mile extension of the Eastside Trail on the Atlanta belt line. Burke was the organizer of his office’s Organic Land Care Symposium which informed the public about more sustainable ways of maintaining public spaces. Mr. Burke holds a Bachelor of Landscape Architecture degree from Utah State University.
