We are delighted to have Visting Professor James Schulte speak on Vegetative Green roofs as part of CED's Spring 2023 lecture series, "Blue, Green, & Gray Infrastructure." Professor Schulte's research explores the different ways that green roofs can help reduce environmental issues in urban environments.
The College of Environment and Design hosted the annual Landscape Architecture Short Course at the Classic Center in Athens, Georgia on February 1-2, 2023. The short course had over 100 virtual and in-person attendees with 12 corporate sponsors. Educational sessions covered a wide range of topics, such as ecoregional green roofs, supply chain disruptions, and preserving historic sites.

The Homervillage master plan is a 65.2 acre development, consisting of 30 tiny home units with three different floor plan options. The goal for this master plan was to design a community for people experiencing chronic homelessness or close to becoming homeless by giving a helping hand. Early research and initial design concepts were developed by Anna Marie Scoccimaro's master's thesis. Ameliorating Homelessness Through the Built Environment explored the research behind communities that help people experiencing homelessness to thrive once again.
