CED Alumnus Matt Forshee (BLA '00) has been named a member of the UGA Alumni Association's 40 Under 40 Class of 2017. Professor emeritus John Waters received the key to the City of Athens from Mayor Nancy Denson at the recent 50th golden anniversary celebration of the Athens-Clarke Heritage Foundation for his decades-long vision and contributions to preservation.
Daniel J. Nadenicek, dean of the College of Environment and Design has been named an honorary member of The Garden Club of America (GCA), one of its highest accolades. Two CED teams recently submitted entries in the EPA's 2016 Campus RainWorks Challenge. There were 60 total submissions. With both teams making it to the final round of 16, and one going on to achieve an Honorable Mention, the CED made an impressive showing in this national competition! Over 200 people gathered in the Jackson Street Building on Friday, April 21st for an exciting day of critiques, honors and awards, and the annual Neel Reid Lecture, which featured Allan Armitage.
