Dean Hirt Presents at Nanjing Forestry and Beijing Forestry Universities

Dean Sonia Hirt, Hughes Professor in Landscape Architecture and Planning at the College of Environment and Design, recently traveled to China. On her trip, she visited Nanjing Forestry University and Beijing Forestry University, where she gave presentations about the CED and about her research. Nanjing Forestry and Beijing Forestry, some of the best universities of their kind in China and beyond, have programs similar to those in the CED. The Dean met with her administrative counterparts and several other faculty (as shown in the photo at Beijing Forestry). The CED has signed memoranda of understanding with both universities, permitting their students to apply to CED’s graduate program and obtain degrees in an accelerated fashion.
