The Resilience of Cultural Landscapes: Perspectives from UNESCO World Heritage Sites
Join us on Wednesday, Oct. 8 for a lecture from Dr. Fabrizio Aimar, Assistant Professor of Practice at Texas A&M College of Architecture. At Texas A&M, Dr. Aimar also serves as the Director of the Center for Heritage Conservation and Woodcock Endowed Professor in Historic Preservation.
About the lecture:
This presentation introduces a cross-cultural investigation into the resilience of UNESCO cultural landscapes, grounded in both theoretical inquiry and applied strategy. Including a case study in Italy, the research examines how identity, perception, and adaptive management converge to shape enduring rural landscapes, offering a replicable, people-centered framework for planners, designers, and heritage professionals dedicated to long-term stewardship.
