Two CED teams recently submitted entries in the EPA’s 2016 Campus RainWorks Challenge. There were 60 total submissions. With both teams making it to the final round of 16, and one going on to achieve an Honorable Mention, the CED made an impressive showing in this national competition!
Congratulations to the team of Ming Guan, Carter Ricks, Danielle Schwartz, Danielle Valdes, and Yuwen Yang (MLAs), along with Norman Bevan (Biology – East Georgia State College), advised by Associate Professor Alfie Vick, on winning an Honorable Mention for their Master Plan work at East Georgia State College entitled Campus in the Pines.
And congratulations to the team of Arianne Wolfe and Landon Woodward (MLAs), advised by Assistant Professor Dr. Jon Calabria, for making it to the final round judging of 16 teams, with their entry dealing with Lily Branch here in Athens entitled Resurrecting the Watershed.
