Congratulations to Braden Meadows (BLA ’20, MLA ’21, MBA ’24, JD ’24) for being named to The University of Georgia 40 Under 40 Class of 2026! UGA 40 under 40 celebrates young alumni leading the pack in their industries and communities.
Meadows is the Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel of SWH Landscape Architecture, where he embodies their mission to “create thoughtful landscapes that reflect the beauty and authenticity of place.” Since joining the firm in 2020, he has held various design and business development roles. Currently, SWH has project work in 16 states and specializes in ultra-high-end residential, boutique commercial and hospitality projects.
A “Quadruple Dawg,” after receiving his BLA and MLA from the CED, he received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from the UGA School of Law and his MBA from the Terry College of Business. Throughout his education and career, Meadows has been involved widely in the political and landscape architecture professions. He has worked in the United States Senate, the United States House of Representatives, and the Georgia House of Representatives. He has also spoken at ASLA’s Conference on Landscape Architecture and at the Institute of Classical Architecture & Art and served on the Government Relations Committee of the Georgia Chapter of ASLA. More recently, in the 2023-2024 academic year, Meadows served as a lecturer at the CED, leading a “Region, Site, Place” Studio and an Advanced Visualization course. Meadows has served on the CED Dean’s Advisory Council since August 2024.
Meadows is originally from Cartersville, Georgia, and resides in Knoxville, Tennessee.
